Oh my goodness. I just can’t get this song/girl out of my head! A few weeks ago I turned the TV on and it was on the George Lopez show. I usually don’t watch that show but the musical act was playing and I stopped in my tracks-” who the f&*k is that?” Come to find out it was Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. This chick is something else. I went to look her up on youtube immediately and was not proven wrong. A bonafied rock star.

So I went to their website and found out they were coming to San Francisco to play at the Fillmore, Saturday Feb.5th. “Awesome! What perfect timing!”. Sold out. Of course. Never fear, Craiglist is here! Right? Wrong! Every post was for people needing tickets and the only people selling wanted $100 a ticket. ( I hate when people do that. The tix were only $25. really? you’re going to try to make 75 bucks off me?) Man, this is the hottest ticket around! People are really wanting to see this band! But I was determined. Luckily my boyfriend was down to come with me (doesn’t hurt that she’s hot as hell and she’s also from Vermont where he is from) so we got there early and found tickets within 5 minutes. It was meant to be.

The show was insane. They are such amazing musicians and her voice is just unreal. She is the female Robert Plant who she cites as an influence. She has so much energy and you can just tell how much they are all having. It was a pleasure to watch them. They are a little bit country, a little bit rock, and a whole lotta attitude. At one point my bf and I looked at each other and were like “are they a Christian band?”. They might be actually but it doesn’t take away from the fact that they were amazing! We were both blown away. She is something else. Did I say that already? Well it bears repeating.

So I’m sure you will hear of them sooner or later because they are only going to get bigger and better but for now, I will be happy to introduce you to Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. This is their hit song “Paris”. I’m putting up a youtube video of them performing it so you can see what a great performer/entertainer she is. The song has been stuck in my head for 4 days now.
