Evolution of a Song-Week Twelve

Week Twelve- "She Cries"

I listen to the Beatles a lot. Like a lot lot. One thing I've noticed about them is that they have a lot of songs with people's names in them. And then they go on to tell a story about said person. "Sexy Sadie", "Lovely Rita", "Polythene Pam", "Mean Mr. Mustard", "Eleanor Rigby", etc. I wanted to make a song in the same way.

Clearly, I cannot compete with the Beatles, but this is my take on it. It's about a girl named Molly although her name is not in the title. I like the positive message and the chorus a lot. I had some trouble with the verses but eventually I got it to a place that I liked.

Once again, I am faced with the challenge of putting myself out there and knowing that it's only making me a stronger person and a stronger song-writer. It's a reminder I have to keep telling myself.

To listen to "She Cries" jump on my list and you can listen to the other 11 songs as well. Have a beautiful week and I hope to see you in your inbox:)

Love,

Dana
