Song in Your Box, Week Forty-Eight,

Week Forty-eight, "Not the One" It's beginning to feel a lot like summer. Hot summer days. Warm summer nights. I love it.

Well this week I'm keeping it short and sweet. I feel like I have a lot to say but don't know where to start so I won't. With only a few weeks left, it is the final countdown and there is so much going on!

This week's song started much like many of the previous 47 songs. "What the hell am I going to do THIS week?" And then lo and behold, I sit down, get to crackin', and a song is born. It still sort of amazes me. Yesterday the song wasn't here. Today it is. There were a million things that inspired me this week. Phrases, ideas, emotions,  and conversations which I always write down but a lot of times they don't even make it into the songs. I think it just gets me prepped for when I actually do sit down to work. I may not use those ideas but they're there in the back of my mind somewhere. They start the flow.

Do you make sure to write down ideas, notions, phrases that inspire you? Try it! It really helps.

So here it is, week 48, "Not the One".

all my summer love, Dana

You can't stop me, I'm on a roll You can't tell me I'm not enough

And you can't hide me from the shining sun You're not the one

You can't love me the way I want You can't hold me tight enough

And you can't hide me from the shining sun You're not the one

The blue moon's rising up again my friend A change is coming You keep fighting, just give in

You can't make me feel what I don't You can't hold on, I'm letting go

And you can't hide me from the shining sun You're not the one
