Evolution of a Song-Week Seven

If I had to pick a favorite instrument, it'd have to be bass. When there is a great bass line, (funky or dirty usually does the trick:) I love the song. No exception. I often wish I played bass and entertain the idea of learning (if only I had a few more hours in the day). Well the riff for "One Way" is definitely more like a bass line. It's very simple and I had a blast putting a melody to it.

Evolution of a Song-Week Six

The Evolution of this song is much like the evolution of a lot of my songs. Basically I play and play until it feels right!:) Haha. Although I'm half -joking there is definitely a truth to that. I had the lyrics and melody for the chorus on my recorder so I started playing along with the guitar. I really liked the melody and the words and the general idea of the song. Basically, just that sometimes you need to cry and "you won't stop until you're through."

The process for week five was not the easiest one, I must admit. The first four weeks I had a pretty good idea of which songs I was going to use. For week five, I had a few I was working on and really didn't get a feeling about any particular one. So I worked and worked and played and played and finally at the last minute I found this song.
