Evolution of a Song-Week Seventeen
/Week Seventeen-"I Love You/I'm leaving" Remember how last week I said I wanted to write a country song? Well I think this week I accomplished that. Now, it's not an intricate, elaborate country song but it is one none the less.
I started taking guitar lessons and told my teacher that I wanted to write a country song so he showed me the basic strumming for one. That night this song was born. I think it's pretty hilarious truth be told. " I love you but not as much as you love me". It's sad when you think about it, but it came out of my mouth and I was laughing hysterically.
Also I was just really excited to have written a country song. I will keep trying, never you fear, because I want to write a really profound, deep-in-the heart of Texas, country song. (If those even exist) This one is pretty simple and a whole lot of fun.
Everything came pretty easily once I had the chords down. The lyrics are straight-forward and there's nothing to read into. Which I like sometimes.
