Song In Your Box-Week Twenty-One

(this about sums up my trip to Israel. Emphasis on the Johnnie Walker:)

Week Twenty-One-"Gimme a Kiss"

So, I'm back from Israel. I have had quite a time getting back in the s(w)ing of things mostly because of the jet-lag. I didn't really get over it when I was there and had to turn right around to come back. I've been waking up at 4:30am and not been able to get back to sleep. It's done wonders for my productivity, let me tell you:) JK.

So this week's song is one I didn't have a lot of time for. Sometimes, I work better that way. Sometimes not. It's a gamble I'm forced to take.

It's definitely still a work in progress, but generally I like it! I am making a conscientious effort to put my work out there without judging it. There was a quote I just heard that said something about that-"it's our job to create but it is not our job to judge it." I really like that idea. That I'm just the vessel for these songs to be created and that's where my participation ends. (Kind of like how Johnny Depp says he never watches his movies because after he acts in them, his job is done. Yep- me and Johnny have a lot in common.)

Anywho, there's a real liberation and freedom in that that feels good.It also allows me to remember why I'm doing this in the first place.

So, "Gimme a Kiss". It's just a fun, light-hearted song that could be really cool with the right production. (True for all songs, really). There's a real story behind it but I'll leave it to you to interpret.

I haven't been doing videos cuz of my trip but will get back to that hopefully next week. (Although with X-mas we'll see if I can work it out. )Hang tight. Thanks so much for listening and being so supportive.what are your X-mas plans?

All my love,

Dana
