Evolution of a Song-Week Thirteen

Lucky 13. Well this week I'm not sure lucky is a word that particularly comes to mind. Of course, I know I'm lucky in the general sense and I try to be aware of that all the time but it was the busiest, most overwhelming weeks I've had since I started Song in Your Box. The CMJ conference (CMJ stands for College Music Journal) was here in NYC last week, where there are a million panels and about 10 million bands playing. It was the first time I attended it.

I listen to the Beatles a lot. Like a lot lot. One thing I've noticed about them is that they have a lot of songs with people's names in them. And then they go on to tell a story about said person. "Sexy Sadie", "Lovely Rita", "Polythene Pam", "Mean Mr. Mustard", "Eleanor Rigby", etc. I wanted to make a song in the same way.
