My Dear Friend, CB

Have you ever heard me talk about my dear friend CB who was a HUGE part of my life in San Francisco? To know CB was to love him. We had a very special friendship that meant so much to me.

Ceebs, as I called him, passed away on November 16, 2020 and left the community in SF with a huge hole in their hearts. 💕

That night, I wrote a song as it was the only way I knew how to deal with my grief. He really was the greatest light and one of my favorite people on earth.

I hope your blues turn to gold

Picture this: I'm on the floor, desperate for inspiration to hit for my song-a- week-for-a-year project (week 37 to be exact). Feeling unrequited feelings for some boy who didn't know I felt feelings. Too scared to say anything and just torturing myself with the secret that only my best friends knew.

That, among other things, had me in a state of sadness. I was texting with a friend who told me a funny story about her nephew and then as we were saying goodbye she said " I hope your blues turn to gold".
